January 23-27

Last week we did a winter story about us and other fictional characters. We also read the book Pompeii...Buried Alive. The reason we read about Pompeii is because we are learning about volcanoes.In math we learned about right, acute, and obtuse angles and worked with multiplication flash cards.

January 9-13

This week in 3rd grade we got snow!!! Yeah!!! In math we talked about multiplication and perimeter.  In hand writing we worked on cursive letters. (T,F,H,and K)! In reading we read the Titanic … Lost and Found. We also, wrote a friendly letter to a friend telling them all about the Titanic. In science we are learning about rocks. In social studies we are learning how some people help change their communities. Finally, in computers we are working in groups on a wiki.  Boy, it has been a busy week in third grade.

Thank you to all 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade for raising over $200 for our pennies from our pockets project, all money is going to For His Glory orphanage in Haiti.
